Act well your part; there all the honor lies.
Apalachee Theatre -- "it's a stage I'm going through."
For some of us, this is especially true. For some of us, theatre is not just an interest. For some of us, theatre is a lifestyle, and Apalachee Theatre is only the first of many stages that we will experience. Whether you see theatre as a serious future or casual hobby, however, "act well your part; there all the honor lies". Welcome to the Apalachee Theatre family!
(Troupe 6133) Apalachee Drama Club Officers 2012-2013
Laura Fong, the President of the 2012-2013 Drama Club, has been actively involved in theatre since her middle school years. Since then, she has taken on roles in productions ranging from acting to technical, such as Ophelia in "When Shakespeare's Ladies Meet", and more recently, Alice in the ensemble cast of "Alice"; and assistant director and stage manager for "Grease" and "Oklahoma!". She is honored to be working with such a brilliant board of officers for her senior year, and she looks forward to the upcoming calendar and being able to continue to serve Troupe 6133 as its president!
Sarah Dove, the Vice President of the 2012- 2013 Drama Club, has been doing theatre since her freshman year. She ran spotlight for "Honk!, Jr.", "Curtains", and "Competition Piece". She then moved on the running the light board for "When Shakespeare's Ladies Meet" and "Has Anyone Seen Aunt Agatha?". Lately, she has been assistant directing shows, such as "The Scarlet Heart" and "Alice".
Carly Baker, the Secretary of the 2012-2013 Drama Club, has been involved in theatre since she was in elementary school. She is also a singer/songwriter and performs regularly. With strong organizational skills and complete devotion to the Drama Club, she hopes to bring about a more efficient club, as well as community service to show our appreciation for the community's continued support of the arts. Carly plans to pursue a career in musical theatre performance.
David Martin, the Treasurer of the 2012-2013 Drama Club, got his start in theatre in middle school after his mother thought that the school drama club would be a good way for him to get out of his enclosed shell of reclusiveness. She could not have been more right. He snagged the lead role of "Lightning Larry" and has been unable to stay away from the stage ever since. His first role at Apalachee was Dr. Talbot in the 2011 winter play "Has Anyone Seen Aunt Agatha?" In the same school year, he was elected to the open position on the drama officers board left by the graduating Katelyn Downey. David loves drama club: planning new games, attending club activies, a little juggling here and there, but most importantly just getting to see his fellow Drama kids.
Harley Weiss, the Clerk of 2012-2013 Drana Club, is the youngest of all the officers. She has participated in every musical throughout middle school. Now in high school, she has been both a techie and an actor. She hopes to continue her line of work backstage and in the booth. Although not as seasoned, she has a young mind and believes she can bring new things to the Apalachee Drama Club.
